Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi’s family faced a devastating blow as his brother-in-law, Rakesh Tiwari, lost his life in a road accident in Jharkhand’s Dhanbad. The unfortunate incident occurred around 4:30 pm at Nirsa Bazar on the Delhi-Kolkata National Highway-2. The couple, traveling from Bihar’s Gopalganj district to West Bengal, met with tragedy when their car collided with a road divider.

Fatal Consequences

The impact of the collision proved fatal for Rakesh Tiwari, who was declared “brought dead” upon arrival at the Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College Hospital (SNMMCH) in Dhanbad. Meanwhile, Pankaj Tripathi’s sister, Sabita Tiwari, sustained a leg injury in the accident. Though critical, she is reported to be out of immediate danger, according to SNMMCH Emergency HOD Dr. Dinesh Kumar Gindauria.

Police Investigation Underway

Preliminary investigations suggest that Rakesh Tiwari was driving the car when it veered out of control and collided with the divider. Authorities are actively probing the circumstances leading to the accident to ascertain the exact cause.

Family’s Previous Loss

This unfortunate incident compounds the grief for Pankaj Tripathi’s family, who lost his father, Pandit Banaras Tiwari, last year in August. Pandit Banaras Tiwari, aged 99, passed away in Bihar’s native village of Balsand, following age-related illnesses.

Pankaj Tripathi’s Stellar Career

Pankaj Tripathi, a renowned actor known for his versatile roles in Bollywood and web series, has garnered acclaim for his performances in projects like “Sacred Games,” “Gangs of Wasseypur,” “Mirzapur,” and “Ludo,” among others. His portrayal of ‘Kaleen bhaiya’ in the web series “Mirzapur” has particularly earned him widespread recognition.

As the family copes with this tragic loss and prays for Sabita Tiwari’s speedy recovery, the incident serves as a stark reminder of the unpredictability of life’s journey and the importance of cherishing every moment with loved ones.
